Reaper 4: This may not be a bug, it could just be how this feature is designed, but to me it makes no sense to do it this way. In the project settings dialog, when pan mode is changed to 'dual pan', the master fader's pan knob moves out of position and only one pan knob is shown (instead of 2 knobs like the other tracks). Moving this pan knob 100% left gives stereo at full width. Moving the knob 100% to the right seems to put both left and right channels hard right (both channels are in the right channel). Surely there are supposed to be 2 knobs (like what occurs with the other tracks (i.e: non-master) tracks?
This is really strange, I can't see any pan modes (as Dstruct reported in that ticket) in the Master track.

Any chance that the priority of this bug can be upped? I sent a mixdown to someone the other day after a long night where I was tired and wasn't paying attention. The next morning he told me the mix "didn't quite sound right". I listened to the mix again in the morning and realized that one speaker sounded a tad lopsided. I put a stereo analyzer on the master fader and low and behold the panning wasn't hard right and hard left - I seem to have inadvertently touched the buggy panner on the master at some stage of the project without realizing it.
But there's something I don't understand here. Dstruct posted a link but that report doesn't have anything to do with your problem, right? You *have* pan modes in the Master Track, Dstruct is saying there are no pan modes (and according to my own tests, there are not).

OK, I can confirm it as well. I loaded your "test2" project and it's fully reproducible with it. I also did a fresh and portable installation and it's also reproducible there, all default options. I wonder why I can't reproduce it with my startup project template. Apparently there are pan modes for the Master Track, it's just that glitch in the UI (no right pan knob) which makes it difficult to tell what's going on.
